Edgar Garcia debuts in a professional league

You may already now Edgar Garcia who showed up at the B1 Academy in USA more than once as his family lives in Florida. He was part of B1 Soccer Academy Spain for a couple of seasons before leaving for Mexico and signing a pro contract with the professional club Inter de Querétaro FC. And the dream he longed for has come true, he has made his professional debut.

We were really proud and excited for him to be able to get a taste of what the professional world of football feels like, especially now that he got some playing minutes with the first team.

Indeed, after signing his contract, the young talent started training with the B team of the Mexican team. Edgar worked very hard and trained efficiently for a couple of months before being given the opportunity he was waiting for.

In fact, Inter de Querétaro faced some changes with a new coach being appointed to the team. This new coach brought a fresh and new style as well as motivation for the team to start winning in a difficult season. After training for two weeks with the new coach, Edgar explains to us that the positive impact on the team could already be felt.

Furthermore, Edgar has always been a hard and dedicated worker and we believe that with this work ethic he will go places!

Finally, after couple of months of training, the moment he was waiting for finally came. Edgar was given the chance to play with the first team in a league game. A special moment for every player and he describes his feelings in his own words:

My debut was a very special one, it didn’t feel real (…) when I entered the field I was filled with excitement and nervousness, that’s the reason I love playing this sport, for those emotions, my first time playing in front of a large amount of people in the stands, that was an incredible feeling.

Furthermore, Edgar is more motivated to try and have consistent spot in the team. His hard work has been rewarded but as he mentioned himself, he loves the emotions and is already thinking of playing as much as he can in the next season.

We are very proud and happy to see our ex-players thriving abroad and in top-level clubs, we hope all the best for Edgar Garcia in his journey!
